About the Class
In today‘s class we were guided through different ways of generating income and scaling a solution into a business. We talked about how that works in conjunction with open source projects and how these licenses differ.
Final project and open sourcing
For our final project we are dealing with multiple levels of content and copyrighting. We have on one hand hardware & fabrication files, we have software code for the interactive installations and machine-to-machine communication and finally we do have some sounds & visuals which are the core of our experience and are in essence, artistic works. Therefore it is important to distinguish between these respective levels of content and copyrighting, because we don‘t want to sweepingly open source everything or, even worse, close everything by default. Thus, while the fabrication files and the general Codename will be biblisches and shared under ‚CC by‘ license, our individual artistic works are included in a closed copyright.
